It has been quite sometime since I have blogged on this thing. It seems like a lot has changed since then. Since I have last blogged I have a new job, interviewed for a Sales Manager position which I completely bombed and didn't get the job. Given they haven't filled the position yet, but they also haven't pursued me either. Kinda bummed about it, but I don't know if I would be a good fit in a sales position. I know I could do the job, but don't know if I would excel in the position.
I have done some work on my 1970 MGB GT. I have tore out the entire interior and have laid some thermal protection so it's not a greenhouse inside the car in the summer. So far it has worked pretty good. I don't get much heat up through the floor or the transmission tunnel. So far I have only replaced the carpet in the front half of the car. I still need to buy more carpet for the rear of the car. I have also installed some early model Mazda Miata seats. They are a lot more comfortable and supportive than the original seats. I think here in the next couple of months, I am going to start prepping the car for paint.
We have recently went to Disneyland this month. I bought a new car so we wouldn't be crammed in the ole Saturn. It is a 2004 Ford Escape XLT. It did great going to Disneyland. Disneyland was actually a lot of fun. The first couple of days my daughter felt good, and then the next two days she had a fever and an ear infection. Even with that, she was a trooper and still wanted to go and endured Disneyland sick. She was such a big girl and went on Space Mountain, Matterhorn Bobsleds, and Radiator Springs Racing. Disneyland wasn't very busy but there were a lot of rides closed so the lines were too long for my liking.

Good Bye Volkswagen
Well I sold finally sold my VW. It was a sad day, but I think it went to a good home. When the car was bought originally in 1972 it was the lady's first car. When I bought it in like 1999, it was my first car. And now it goes to another first car owner. The kid who bought it was from Walnut Creek and drove it back. The car made it there. I was honestly surprised it did. The car hadn't been drove in about 6 years. As soon as my neighbor comes home, I will be a British car owner. It is a 1970 MGB GT. Its British Racing Green, and in decent shape. It's going to need some work, but it shouldn't be too bad. I will post some photos when I get the chance to.

Facebook among other things
Well I have almost been off of Facebook for a week now. It feels strange. I have extra time to do things, and I don't know what I want to do with them. I also feel like I am disconnected from everyone. I keep thinking to myself, "maybe I should have just deleted the riff raff and left my good friends and my family". Too late now, I don't think I am ever going to go back. I don't like the fact that they save everything and you can never really delete your account, only deactivate it.
Today is Natalie's Ballet recital. I am excited and extremely proud of her for doing so well. I know I am a biased source, but it seems like she is one of the only girls to actually do the dance correctly. I will have to post some photos on here later about it.
Yesterday was Trent's Rain Gutter Ragata (spelling?). He had made a Steamboat Willie boat and it turned out pretty cool. He won 3 times and lost 2 times. This was the last of the event's for scouts that he will do. He is growing up and if he decides to continue on with scouts, he will be too old to do anymore stuff like that. Only the big boy scouts from now on.
I have a guy coming this weekend to look at my VW. I am excited. I hope he buys it. The crazy bastard lives in Walnut Creek, CA. and wants to drive it home, if he decides to buy it. I haven't drove the car in 6 years and he wants drive it an hour and a half. INSANE. But oh well, as long as he buys it, I'm OK with whatever he decides to do. If he does buy it, I will be getting another project to start working on. It will be a surprise for all you 0 people who actually read this blog. Maybe in my next post, I will put up some pics and stuff if the guy buys and I get something else.

BAH Craigslist
So I have been trying to sell my 73 Volkswagen on Craigslist for the past 2 weeks with no luck. I have recieved like 4 emails now, all being spam, about it. Its becoming very annoying. Do people actually believe that someone will deposit money into their account, sight unseen, and not be a scam? Who the hell would actually give someone their bank account #?

A new begining
I have deleted my Facebook profile. It felt good. I am trying to get away from living my life on my computer. I am hoping with the extra time that I save from sitting on Facebook, I can reconnect with some hobbies I used to have and maybe take up some new ones.
